Sub: Banking arrangements for Customs Commissionerate, Mangalore – Reg.

All the Importers/Exporters Custom House Agents/Steamer Agents and trade in general are hereby informed that the Reserve Bank of India has made the following arrangements for collection of Customs revenue and for payment of refunds and drawbacks as also for rendering of scrolls and challans in respect of Mangalore Customs Commissionerate.

2. a) The following eight branches of Canara bank and the branch of State Bank of India (as sub-agents) will function as authorised branches (under manual system).

    1. Canara Bank Panambur. Mangalore

    2. Canara Bank Hampankatta, Mangalore
    3. Canara Bank Karwar
    4. Canara Bank Honnavar
    5. Canara Bank Udupi
    6. Canara Bank Kundapur
    7. Canara Bank Durgadabail (Hubli)
    8. Canara Bank Gulbarga, Main branch
    9. State Bank of India Mangalore (Sub-agent)

b) Hampankatta and Karwar branches of Canara Bank are also authorised for payment of refunds/drawbacks.

c) Panambur branch of Canara Bank will function as Focal Point branch and will render scrolls and challans to PAO, CE& Customs, Bangalore.

d) Canara Bank Panambur will continue to act as the only authorised branch for collection of Customs Revenue and Payment of drawback under EDI system.

3. The above banking arrangements are in supersession of all previous arrangements and authorisation, if any, of other branch /es of Canara Bank or sub-agent bank stands withdrawn.

The contents of this Public Notice may be given wide publicity among all concerned.
